- Teatro Lirico Nacional de la Zarzuela
The best place to enjoy Spanish zarzuela, or operetta is the 150-year-old
Teatro Lirico Nacional de la Zarzuela. The zarzuela was in the
19th century the maximum exponent of the musical theatre. It’s
specifically Madrilenian modification of operetta that is like
a Spanish musical comedy.
- Teatro Lope de Vega
Teatro Lope de Vega was built from 1946 to 1947 and opened in
1950. The seating was provided in two balconies and the level
of orchestra. In 1997 the theatre became a showplace legit theatre
with 1 496 seats. Now it’s a typical early 20th century building
in Spanish Baroque style.
