The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia is the official name of the national Spanish museum of the 20th century art. In the past the building of the museum was a Madrid general hospital and only in 1992 it became the Spanish Museum of modern art.

The museum can boast magnificent collections of the array of significant artists, particularly two unexcelled masters of the 20th century - Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso. The bombing of Guernica, representing on the most famous of the works of Picasso is the object of proud of the museum. This museum personifies the new trends in modern art.
